Atlantic Coast Child Welfare Implementation Center
The Atlantic Coast Child Welfare Implementation Center (ACCWIC) was one of five Child Welfare Implementation Centers established by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and Children’s Bureau (CB) in October 2008 and funded until September, 2014. As a member of the Children’s Bureau Training and Technical Assistance Network, we worked with child welfare agencies to implement strategies to achieve sustainable, systemic change. We served state and tribal child welfare agencies in Regions III (Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia) and IV (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Catawba, Cherokee, Choctaw, Miccosukee, Poarch Band of Creek Indians, and Seminole).
