REPLICATING FAMILY CONNECTIONS

Communities exploring the possibility of replicating Family Connections should thoroughly review the following documents:

1. DePanfilis, D., Glazer-Semmel, E., Farr, M., & Ferretto, G. (1999). Family Connections Intervention Manual. Baltimore: University of Maryland, Baltimore.

2. DePanfilis, D. (2002). Helping families prevent neglect final report . Study funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Children’s Bureau 1996-2002 (Grant Number 90CA1580). Baltimore, MD:  University of Maryland School of Social Work;  and

3. Family Connection’s Fidelity Criteria.

Communities planning to replicate Family Connections are expected to meet the following conditions:

1. Enter into a mentoring agreement with the University of Maryland - School of Social Work’s Center for Families. All replicating sites are required to enter into an individualized mentoring agreement and pay a one-time licensing of fee of $2,000. This fee provides sites with use of the Family connections' Invention Manual; and

2. Demonstrate adherence to the fidelity criteria.
