We offer an array of in-service training that is planned quarterly, in conjunction with the Department of Human Resources (DHR) and the Local Departments of Social Services, to address specific training priorities identified by DHR, specialized training for the various child welfare service areas, and training content that reflects national trends and best practices.

Training is provided in-person throughout the state, at the Child Welfare Academy in Baltimore, and regionally at Local Departments of Social Services. In addition to the live classroom based trainings, we also offer webinars on a variety of topics. CEUs are offered for all courses

Restricted Enrollment - ONLY State of Maryland DHR/DSS Family and Child Welfare Staff are eligible to participate in training. Adult services staff are advised to see their supervisor for a schedule of Adult Services Workshops. Registrations will be monitored.

The CWA also sponsors approved courses offered by the SSW Continuing Professional Education Workshops for SSA and LDSS Staff. See links below for current offerings.
