Ms. Teri Benson received her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University and BASW from Virginia State University. She has worked for the state of Virginia as a policy specialist in Child Welfare, and as a trainer for Child Welfare Workers. Teri also has extensive experience designing and implementing a training program for foster parents providing therapeutic foster care, and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Social Work at Morgan State University. Teri has a special research interest in federal and state independent living programs, services and outcomes for older youth involved in the child welfare system.
