| Dr. Greeno joined the Ruth H. Young Center for Families and Children (RYC) in July 08 after having recently graduated from the UMB doctoral program. Dr. Greeno’s dissertation research, “Psychosocial Characteristics and Prevalence of Alcohol Consumption in Pregnant Women with Substance Abuse: A Secondary Data Analysis” was the product of a research collaboration with Johns Hopkins Center for Addiction and Pregnancy. Dr. Greeno’s scholarly publication is in the area of social work values and ethics using structural equation modeling. She is authoring three papers based on her dissertation research. Prior to entering the doctoral program at UMB, Dr. Greeno was a senior social worker at St. Vincent’s Center (SVC), a therapeutic group home in Timonium, Maryland where she provided case management and clinical services to children and families involved with child welfare and mental health services. In addition, she provided clinical trainings and clinical supervision to SVC personnel. Dr. Greeno is a private outpatient mental health practioner in Harford County, Maryland. Dr. Greeno is currently involved in a range of research projects at the RYC that include the following: evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of child welfare services in Maryland, evaluation of a Judicare pilot program, evaluation of the Title IV-E Education for Child Welfare Program, and a mixed-method study evaluating the replication of Family Connections with Intergenerational Families. |
