| Mark Lardner is a clinical research specialist for the Ruth H. Young Center for Families & Children. He is currently working on the Child Welfare Accountability Project to develop and implement an outcome based system of accountability for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of child welfare services for children and families in the State of Maryland. Mark joined the Ruth H. Young Center team after working for four years with the children and families at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program. He also serves as a child and family therapist for a community-based agency in Baltimore City. Mark spent many years working with the young men of Nativity Mission Center on Manhattan’s Lower East Side holding a number of positions, including director of the Leadership Training Program, before making Baltimore City his home. His research experience includes working as a senior associate for Dunlap and Associates, Inc., a human factors consulting firm in Stamford, CT, primarily working on projects for the Department of Transportation and Airbus Industries. Mark is a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical in the State of Maryland and received his master’s degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, School of Social Work. Mark earned his BA from Fairfield University. |
