Barbara Nathanson, LCSW-C

Barbara Nathanson, LCSW-C has over 25 years of professional experience as a mental health clinician for at- risk children and families.  Ms. Nathanson has expertise in the field of infant mental health and attachment and has provided numerous workshops on this topic.  She has extensive experience in developing and managing early intervention mental health programs including Early Head Start that serve emotionally vulnerable children and families.  Ms. Nathanson has over 10 years of direct services in Child Welfare services. She is a graduate from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work.

Ms. Nathanson joined the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, in February, 2007 as a Clinical Instructor, in the Child Welfare Academy‘s Training Department.  Currently, Ms. Nathanson is a Faculty Field Instructor at the Montgomery County Department of Human Services in the Title IV-E Public Child Welfare Program.
