| Charlette Charles-Ringgold received her master's degree in social work from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. She has provided public child welfare services for more than twenty years at the Baltimore City Department of Social Services. She has conducted child maltreatment investigations, provided in-home Family Preservation Services, and has supervised social workers who provided in-home and out child welfare services. Prior to beginning her career with Baltimore City Department of Social Services, she worked with the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, in a community based program, providing services to juveniles offenders and their families. For the past 5 years, she has been a faculty field instructor for the Title IV-E Education for Public Child Welfare program, with the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, preparing BSW and MSW students for careers in Public Child Welfare. |
