The Department of Human Resources’ Social Services Administration and the Ruth H. Young Center for Families and Children, Child Welfare Academy at the University of Maryland School of Social Work Child have partnered to develop a one-day training conference for Maryland Resource Families entitled:

“BEYOND THE CALL:
MAKING CONNECTIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PLACEMENTS”

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Couples registration is prohibited. Primary Resource Parent, spouse and/or support parent must register individually.
Verification of address may be requested before expense reimbursement can be issued.
Resource Home Workers will receive notification via email of resource parents’ confirmation.

Participants who arrive beyond 9:15am for the conference will not be awarded certificates or expense reimbursements.
Certificates of Completion of 6 Hours of Continuing Education Training will be issued at the end of the conference day.
Participants are required to attend the full day to receive their certificates.
Expense reimbursements in the amount of $50.00 will be provided to resource families (one per family) who attend the full day conference. Expense reimbursements in the form of a check should be expected no sooner than 60 days after the conference date.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
NO CHILD CARE PROVIDED
Workshop attendance will be monitored. Confirmed conference selections will be available during conference.
