PROJECT NAME: DJS – Interagency Youth Services Planning Project

ABSTRACT: The Maryland Child and Adolescent Innovations Institute of the University of Maryland (the “Innovations Institute”) in collaboration with The Ruth H. Young Center (RYC) for Families and Children, and other UMB campus and community centers and organizations, will provide the Department of Juvenile Services (DJS), the Department of Human Resources (“DHR”), the Maryland State Department of Education (“MSDE”), and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (“DHMH”) with an interagency youth services strategic plan.  The project team will synthesize planning documents developed by committees, taskforces, workgroups, and research teams that have already studied the cross-system needs of youth in Maryland and will facilitate a planning process to bring multiple stakeholders forward to develop a comprehensive strategic plan that cuts across these service systems.
