ABSTRACT: The purpose of this project is to design and implement an assessment process that will lead to the development of a process and outcome evaluation of the Truancy Reduction Pilot Program (TRPP) of the 1st Judicial Circuit that is being replicated in Harford and Prince George’s Counties. The goal of this pre-process evaluation is to work with the internal and external stakeholders for the truancy intervention program to define the scope of the program and the measures that can be used to evaluate the program. In addition, the evaluation aims to assess the capacity of the jurisdictions to provide data that can be used in the implementation of a process and outcome evaluation of this program. The ultimate objective is to produce an evaluation plan for the Maryland Judiciary, Administrative Office of the Courts. Coppin State University, a Maryland Judiciary Research Consortium member institution, is a collaborating partner on this project.
